Horse Trailers needed for Calif. fires to get horses out...

Has anyone heard anything about the folks being evacuated because of the wild fires in So. Cal. having to leave their horses because they don't have trailers?

Someone just sent me an email asking and I hadn't heard anything. If it's true, is there an organization in the area that can help...like a Bit and Spur club or 4-H?

2. It's a 13 hour drive for me, and I don't even have a trailer or a horse.

I am doing some checking with local equestrian groups...I didn't even realize this was an issue. I always figure people with horses have trailers. Maybe they aren't given enough time to load the horses?

I haven't heard back from any group or coordinator, so we put this up on our website in hopes that we can get some help for those horses if they need it.
