DeWine uses 9/11 images to attack Brown on terrorism
I thought this practice was "disgraceful"? "over the top"? "aiding the terrorists"?

oh yeah - that's only when Democrats do it :sarcasm:

WASHINGTON – Using vivid images of smoke pouring from one of the towers of the World Trade Center, Republican Sen. Mike DeWine unleashed a commercial yesterday that charges Democratic challenger Sherrod Brown with casting votes in Congress that could have weakened America’s response to terrorism.

The TV commercial, which also flashed images of the 19 hijackers who took part in the Sept. 11 attack, is an apparent effort by the DeWine campaign to jar Ohio voters into remembering the terrorist attack in New York and suburban Washington and to convince them that the senator will support tougher anti-terrorism measures than Brown, a congressman from Avon.

Citing votes that Brown has cast throughout his 13 years in the House, the commercial asserts that he voted to "slash" spending for national intelligence, opposed the Patriot Act in 2001 and 2005, and voted against applying the death penalty to terrorists who kill passengers on U.S. trains.

While the commercial’s language is strong, the gut-wrenching images of the Trade Center and the hijackers is likely to make a searing impact. Although DeWine clearly wanted to grab the attention of TV viewers, some analysts warned that it could be seen as an effort to exploit a national tragedy.

"That’s a pretty tough ad," said John Green, director of the Ray C. Bliss Institute for Applied Politics at the University of Akron. "It suggests the Republicans see terrorism as a very potent issue in an off-year election.

3. Republicans see terrorism as a very potent issue
They have been using Terra against America to get everything they want since 9/11! So terror is the GOPs tool, just like it's Bin Laden's tool!

7. I hate to even LOOK at him
he says he supports first responders, then votes AGAINST funding them, with no remorse at all, and no return phone calls to those he told he WOULD vote to support grant funding for first responders. (I guarendamtee he was told to shut down firefighters by GW because he HATES them for supporting Gore then Kerry)

He is an Asshat! (he is my POS senator too..along with that criminal Voinobitch)

9. DeWine is trying to claim he's more "independent" than today's Repigs
Instead of the 95 percent of voting with Bush and the Party from 1999-2005, he's now at a meager 78 percent of voting with Bush and the Party.

Some "independent thinker".

He must have voted on some environmental bills that he knew wouldn't have a chance of getting past the Repuke majority ...
