This is really getting out of control. This has to stop NOW. And what is the death count of Lebanese? What the hell is being achieved here? Murder and destruction.

Edited to update number.

1. "They're only Canadians."
Edited on Sun Jul-16-06 12:37 PM by Kagemusha
When Americans start getting killed then people might notice. MIGHT.

(Edited because uh, I don't see them as only Canadians, but I'm alluding to media perception and the fact American public opinion's about the only thing that matters here, Canadian public opinion emphatically does not)

4. Even if theyr'e
Americans, they deserved it for being there. They should have been "over here" waving flags and decrying the gays. Didn't they get the memo that we were fighing them "over there"?:sarcasm:

11. Correct
Are youlistening to the Lebanese PM, Fouad Siniora - he's sure giving Wolfie a mouthful. He's blaming Israel for this entire mess baed on Israel keeping so many Lebanese prisoners and still occupying part of his country.

He is correctly pissed - says its a new manifestation of the same problem.

9. I agree, the world's paying attention to all Lebanese deaths today
It's not personal mind you. It's because this stuff's seen as a precursor for much worse to come. So people are paying attention. Iraq was fading from sight because well, we KNOW it's bad, and it won't stop being bad anytime soon, but won't get radically worse fast. Lebanon can get radically worse here and now. So the attention is there.

12. I know everyone is AWARE of the deaths. When will they DO something
about them. Calling on Israel to show some "restraint" doesn't seem to been too persuasive.

10. Now just wait, we haven't heard the Israeli side of the story.
Those Canadians were really Iranians disguised to help Hezbollah shoot missiles into Israel. Everyone knows that Canada is anti-Semitic. And besides Canada's new conservative Prime Minister says it's OK with him, because Israel has a right to defend itself even against Canadians who associate with Arabs.

19. No doubt partner of John Walker Lindh and Jose Padilla
How long before Fox has a "Canadian Hezbollah?" graphic running on screen bottom?

For we know that Israeli bombs only ever land on militants, so if an Israeli bomb landed on you, then you must have been a militant, Q.E.D....

13. I hope for all to be safe and free of harm... however, I wonder
how all these single dimensional Americans (rooting on Israel's actions without limit-damn the consequences) would feel if those American University college students (Americans) were hit?

building after building destroyed....

Lebanese men flee the Beir al-Abed area in the southern Lebanese suburb of Dahyieh Junubiya, following Israeli air raids. Eight people were killed in a Hezbollah rocket attack on Israel's third largest city as Israel pounded Lebanon on the fifth day of a spiralling conflict that has cost scores of lives but spurred little international action.(AFP/Anwar Amro)

Mariam Shihabiyah, 39, a divorced mother of five, carries her pillows as she leaves a bombed area of the southern suburbs where her apartment is situated in Beirut, Lebanon Sunday, July 16, 2006. After days of airstrikes concentrated on the densely populated residential area near the destroyed Hezbollah headquarters, Shihabiyah returned to salvage belongings from her apartment, minutes before another series of airstrikes hit the area.
