Why is Jewish Blood so cheap?
I support Israel 100%. I will support Israel with my dying breath. I support my Jewish brothers and sister throughout the world because no one has ever supported us in history of Western Civilization.

Today, Israel is attacking Lebanon and there are pictures of dead Arabs. . .but when a suicide bomber blows up a bus in Tel Aviv, no one mourns. No one posts pictures, no one cares. Hell, Israel is blamed for that.

Israel attacks terrorist and militants and some civilians are hurt and killed (including children), people go ape shit and start the "hate Israel" bullshit.

Arabs blow up market places, discos, buses, plazas (you know, governmental and military targets), Jewish lives are lost (including children) and people blame Israel.

Why is Jewish blood so cheap?

Pogroms, Inqusitions, Pale Settlement, Explusions from France, Britian and Russia, Babi Yar, the Holocaust, "Protocols of the Elders of Zion," etc. . .why is Jewish blood so cheap to people?

Why are my people the whipping boy of western civilization?

And here at DU, Israel is the whipping boy. Why are Jews such monsters to people and why is Jewish blood so cheap?

Don't give me "support the people, not the government" because that's a hollow argument. Israel is made up of Jews. . .so it is Jew bashing. Why is Jewish blood so cheap and arab blood so precious?

10. The premise of you question is full of holes
Most DUers don't like ANY bloodshed and aren't too fussy about nationality or religion when protested warfare.

19. Then why the "out and out" hatred of Israel?
I could start a thread titled simply, "Israel? Ever been?" And it would turn into a flamefest within 3 posts! Why is such hate directed at Israel? Why is it held to different standards? Why can good news from Israel or about Israelis not be posted here without vicious attacks?

I must admit I don't have the guts nor the time for this kind of confrontational thread right now. Good for you though.

9. Israel has all the comforts and security the U.S. money can buy
Edited on Sat Jul-15-06 11:29 PM by Erika
They are capitalists Zionists not real Jews and they are trying to practice their own imperialism.

They attack third world countries who have a third of the standard of living we provide Israel.

11. We are not going to play the game.
The USA has treated Israel with kid gloves more than any other country on this planet - with good reason too considering the holocaust. OTOH, I and many others here will not be cowed into thinking that they can do no wrong - that is simply an outrageous proposition.

16.  A huge difference
between them doing no wrong, and doing no right. Constantly jumping the gun and blaming israel for everything in the middle east is foolish

21. That's right....
The fundies and neocons are definetly in bed on this one. And all they want to do is to sell us perpetual blooshed. So you want to let Israel do what it wants do you? That is fine with me, just don't do with it with my tax dollars.

22. Well said, Mr_Spock
'My country, right or wrong' is a dangerous stance, whether taken by a RW American who will not see the horrors our policies are creating or by an Israeli who will not question policies of Likud which only serve to inflame hatred and create horrors.

Every nation, every people will make mistakes. The biggest mistake is not to address it when it happens.

12. Anti-Semitism runs deep.
Although a slight decrease was noted in this country, it was seen rising throughout the world. Basically: old habits die hard!

You might want to check the hate crimes stats from the FBI for that past several years. The number 1 group attacked based on religion were JEWS!

13. It's the same as the fat, unattractive, not-so-bright kid in school
who gets picked on endlessly...then one day brings a fucking Uzi to school. Then HE'S the *bad* kid. Wtf ever.

Not sayin' it's right, just sayin' I understand.

14. couple of thoughts
1. Levelling criticism at the Israeli government is not the same thing as "Jew bashing".

2. Both Israel and the Palestinians have legitimate claims. Both have done horrific things in the name of those claims.

3. Therefore, a pox on both their houses until they can straighten this shit out.

18. Why don't you try comparing the number of Palestinian and
Lebanese people killed to the number of Israelis killed? Vastly more arab lives have been lost in this conflict.
