Is it just me, but where's Bush on this?
Has he made any kind of a statement on what's happening now in the Middle East? What's Condi saying? What's Bolton saying? Haven't we been strangely quiet about all this?

Also, does the news coverage of all this seem awfully lame to you? It does to me. Lots of women with dyed hair oohing and aaahing over footage from the war but nothing incisive about aims, ambitions, measured responses...just the usual "expert punditry" ranting on without any real insight.

I want to know how complicit we are in this. No one is talking about that.

1. Bush said.....
.....Israel has a right to defend herself, yet should be careful about taking innocent civilian lives.

Rice said that Iran and Lebanon should control and rein in Hezbollah.

Bolton was blabbing on about the Security Council debating back and forth......

That's about it.....

14. Which makes me think that they are about to invade
one or both of those countries. This seems (although it may not be) like a setup for PNACers wet dreams.

That's the only thing Bush has commented on since yesterday.

5. I assume Bush and his coterie of neocons think invading
Lebanon is a good idea. Idiots. This couldn't be happening without Bush and Condie's OK

12. They are not even attempting any diplomacy
come to think of it, they neve have used diplomacy anywhere. Whereas Clinton brokered a peace agreement which, admittedly, turned out not to be too successful but at least he tried. This crowd knows nothing about diplomacy. Not one damn thing. Of course when you appoint somebody like John Bolton as UN Ambassador, it just shows how little you care about diplomatic relations with the rest of the world.
The world is falling apart and all Bush can do is eat a little BBQ. Talk about fidlding while Rome burns.

Actually I think they are doing this on purpose. They are trying to bring on Armageddon for their Christofascist supporters.
