How many major cities and rural areas are experiencing crime increases?
I have been reading about the crime emergency in DC and a few stories about increasing murders by hand guns. Since Bush has been in office our nation is crumbling internally and as fewer and fewer good paying jobs become available and fewer and fewer anykind of job becomes available, I expect crime to soar all over the place. And let's face it, the elite within gated communities don't give a damn. When the vets return home to their lower income dwellings and neighborhoods they too will become discouraged and a number of them will join the criminal element for survival purposes. It happened after Viet Nam.

1. Natural progression....
of the widening gap between rich and poor, and the anger and resentment that comes along with it.

More and more people living on the edge of poverty and eventually falling over the cliff. More and more funds for social programs being cut, more and more children being discarded like unwanted baggage.

There is economic upheaval and social unrest coming to this country the likes of which we haven't seen in a century or more, if ever.
