Internet gambling and the Minimum Wage

When I left to go to work this morning, House Democrats were pounding the Repugs for not addressing Minimum Wage as an important issue facing our country today. They said over and over 'Let's MAKE THE TIME' to debate this important issue.

All the Repugs could talk about was Internet Gambling like it was the crisis of this 'new' millennium. Boo.Hiss.

I heard several Representatives say that if the Repugs are the party of morality, why don't they DO something to help the people of America. Those currently earning minimum wage live way below the poverty level. One Dem told them (paraphrasing) 'A CEO of a US Corporation will earn more before lunchtime on any given day, than those who work at a minimum wage will earn in one year!'

Dems basically stayed on the topic of Minimum Wage instead of focusing on this Abramoff bill.

Kudos to those Democrats who call for an increase in the federal minimum wage!!

Or when you encounter them, do you just not think about their econmic lifestyle?

and even I don't want to think about my economic lifestyle. :(

Luckily my roommate insists on having internet (and paying for it), or I would be missing you guys something fierce!
