I'm listening to Noam Chomsky's "Propaganda & Control of the Public Mind"
http://www.zmag.org/chomsky/audio/pcpm/

The man is incredible- his speech is as lucid as his thoughts, which are unique. Chomsky is a thoroughly educated man, and he has used that knowledge to tie many things together in a way anybody with an eighth grade education can understand. Not to sound like a suck-up, but the first thing I thought about was the first time I saw and heard our own Will Pitt speaking. Too many similarities to note here.

I'm only about 30 minutes into the lecture, and I'm already ready to recommend this and all his other works. I give it five stars, two thumbs up, and all that other cool stuff.

3. "How things work"
That's all. Forbidden knowledge.

Also read/listen to Howard Zinn and Arundhati Roy. Truthtellers.

(Check the Roy links in my sig.)

5. Thank You! and there is a link to torrents that is a goldmine.
http://www.chomskytorrents.org/Torrents.php

Pages 3-4 have some links to Arundhati Roy. There is some Zinn, and a WHOLE LOT more. 576 hours or so of stuff that the corporations' media don't want you to see.

Thanks again.

Captain Chomsky just sailed past my house on the CCCP Crackpot, he was directing his ship of fools from a liberal armchair, babbling like a loon, and shithouse rats were manning the cannons. "HARD TO PORT, AND PORT TO SHERRY" Heard it all: No kidding. No supporting evidence, either. He said he would run for something, but would have to give up his tenure at MIT, all his speaking engagements, and suspend his writing for a little while, and he was really worried that freeper trolls would persuade us to vote for him. There WAS, however, a "dreary old shitbird" hung 'round his neck whose "left wing resembled william shockley," and the hold of his corsair was, as usual, "chock-full of shit" - he invited me on for a little while, and i noticed that the gunwales of his vessel were painted in Khmer Rouge, and there was leftover Pol Pot in the microwave. IMO: A "helluva linguistic philosopher" of his advanced age should not be sailing in the back bayous of northwest florida. AHAR MATEY! :sarcasm:

did i cover all the useless incomings? :D

7. Is America In Denial?
One of my hobbys is keyword frequency graphs using the Internet. Here's what a graph of the word "federal" looks like since 1992 -

Amazingly, with a major war, 30% Federal spending increase, $600 billion Federal deficits, war on terrorism, formation of Homeland security and NSA wiretapping... the frequency of "federal" goes down!
