Bloody burglar defeated by child
A little Colorado girl is being called a hero by her family for making a blood covered intruder leave the house.
Little Jacqueline Castillo woke up early Saturday morning to find a blood-covered stranger hovering over her bed and instead of being scared, she said she was mad.
"Because he can't put blood in our house, that's why," Jacqueline said. So, the 5-year-old, who stands less than four feet tall, escorted the burglar to the back door and told him, "Get out of the house."
Police say the burglar was an intoxicated 17-year-old who had tried to get inside at least two other homes in the neighborhood. Investigators say he found an unlocked window at the Castillo house and climbed inside, rifling through drawers in several bedrooms while Jacqueline's brother, mother, and grandmother slept.
Before Jacqueline kicked him out of her house, a neighbor had heard the burglar at his home and had called 911. Police arrived and followed the trail of blood to Jacqueline's home and were in the backyard when she kicked the burglar out. "When I opened the door, the cop was there," said Jacqueline.
