Bush claims the Supreme Court backed HIM on Guantanamo
Edited on Sat Jul-08-06 09:31 AM by kpete
The New York Times reports Bush claims the Supreme Court backed him on Guantanamo.

"It didn't say we couldn't have done — couldn't have made that decision, see?" Mr. Bush said at a news conference in Chicago. "They were silent on whether or not Guantánamo — whether or not we should have used Guantánamo. In other words, they accepted the use of Guantánamo, the decision I made."

Nice try, Mr. President, but Guantanamo wasn't the issue in the case -- the use of military tribunals was, and there was no approval of them.

1. He may believe that..
I'm sure that Rove, Cheney & Consiglieri Gonzales have all told him not to worry about it.

9. No, but he knows his base will blindly accept what he says..
They won't actually read the decision which is like what 80 pages or so? Not counting the dissenting opinion and the concurring opinions.

The sheeple simply won't bother.

3. this is why silence is bad
since they didn't DIRECTLY address the atrocity of what Little Lord Chimpenfurher has done, he claims it's okay.

That garbage simply must stop.
