Berlusconi faces new fraud, embezzlement, money-laundering charges

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi Friday was ordered to stand trial on fraud and other charges involving his family's television network.

Judge Fabio Paparella in Milan also ordered 13 other defendants to stand trial, ANSA reported, including lawyer David Mills, the estranged husband of British Culture Minister Tessa Jowell.

Others included executives and former executives of the Mediaset network and Fininvest, the Berlusconi family holding company.

All deny any wrongdoing.

Trial is set for Nov. 21 after a four-year investigation.
