the beauty of great engineering.
Spousette and I got a couple of 40Gig iPods, and to my surprise, after purchasing some law reference books I sorely needed, I received a free iPod nano. The controls are as logical as the older, larger models, but the unit is incredibly compact.

What a lovely machine. light, slim, a fantastic look and feel, and a constant amazement that something so small can hold so much. My biggest fear? that something this small is easily misplaced. In the future, what they need is a wrist version, with phone capability and video conferencing.

2. heck, I have 5 generations of macs, with
a G-4 17inch powerbook, and a mac mini (not a dual chip yet, unfortunately) are what I use every day.

they are so far superior to windows, that I don't want to even mention that line of products.

3. Agreed
On my G5 right now and have been a fan of Macs for years. Working to convince lovely young niece that the laptop is what she needs for college (not much of a hard sell - she's a smart girl). Had my G4 refurbished last year for my daughter as a hand me down computer when I got the G5. They are truly wonderful machines!!

4. I feel the same about my Motorola Razr
Just an elegant design. Superb mechanical design and a software interface that is intuitive and a breeze to use. I'm involved with manufacturing and I really appreciate a well developed product. Kudos to Moto for getting it right. Interesting story, the design guys did not let the marketing guys have control on the product specifications...

5. the auto industry used to have design engineers run them
until the CPAs and marketteers (rhymes with brain-dead pirates) took over. Almost killed our auto industry. Still might.
