My God, I swear I heard the echoes of our Founding fathers voices
in Gore's speech today.

I have not had shivers run up and down my spine in years.

1. Let them tap my phone, I'm just saying "Give Democracy a Chance"
Gore/Dean in 2008.

And WHY do we have to have 'the best government money can buy' as Gore Vidal so aptly puts it?

3. Yeah....me too...
Gore's speech was a call to action just like "Common Sense" was in it's day....

I get the shivers every time I read the constitution

4. Beautiful, no?
It is a shame that our leaders can't deliver speeches like this more often. Oration is a lost art. Gore has given many great speeches in the past few years. The only other person I can think of who can still deliver a speech like that is Sen Byrd, but he is from a different time. "Today I weep for my country..."

5. That's the difference between...
a statesman who understands and respects the Constitution and Bush, who prefers to wipe his ass with it. I have no idea how the wingnuts can listen to that speech (if they bothered to) and not come away feeling thrilled and inspired. It probably had too many big words in it for them and left out, "Heil Bush".
