I am not Kerry's biggest fan, really - I like him, didn't think he could win.

But I sure wonder how in god's name could those little bastards tarnish a Silver Star winner.

I really think those "swift boaters" need to take another tour in Iraq - set perspectives straight.

3. SWIFT has been around for more than 20 years

and when I worked for a major US bank, it was the fastest and most secure way to move funds internationally. Banks join the SWIFT network to move funds for their own international operations as well as for those of their customers.

After 9-11, I immediately thought of SWIFT transactions to trace funding for terrorists. But if I knew that, you can be sure that terrorists are aware of the ease of tracing wire transfers through SWIFT. Member banks would have incentive to cooperate with such investigations since they have an interest in the stability of worldwide financial markets.

Man, those people that backed the "swit boaters" have no idea about a war - closest those assholes were to it is a TV set. Our family watched every day 1966 to the end.

I listened to those people after Kerry got attacked. Who the fuck were they to say those things??

This president is the son of a coward - and so many of our parents lived through the fight being the heros they were, at least to me. And from where I see it, his father was alot braver than this president.

5. I think you've got the wrong end of the stick

This is about 'SWIFT' - the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications - which the CIA was monitoring for 'suspicious' international money transfers, and the media (apparently the New York Times was the first, though I don't know if that's definite) wrote about the CIA operation.

SWIFT is so secret that, if you want to make an international payment to, say, a university, or an ISP, or an online casino, they all tell you how to use SWIFT. Tony Snow pretending that SWIFT isn't widely known is rather like pretending American Express isn't widely known.
