Opinion of Tweets on Colbert, who seemed to me to be an enabler:
Now that the whole MSNBC programming is getting revamped, I'm thinking Tweety needs to appear more Dem, a la' Olbermann, because that's what's selling now.
Matthews had nothing to sell but his opinion. Colbert helped, and wasted lots of time w/o really gutting him, and we know he could have.

1. you'd think that MSNBC would read their online polls once in a while
they are usually overwhelmingly liberal. you'd think they'd catch a clue who their audience is (or could be)

and BTW, hiya Sis!! :hi:

3. My friend! How are you?
When is the big move, AZDD6? I love that name; sounds like a robot, sort of.
I guess you'll have to change it when you can.
I hope all will or is going swimmingly for you and Mr. K.!

2. That is usually what Colbert does.
We really need to stop looking for Jon and Colbert to do the skewering. They are comedy shows.

8. I didn't take it that way; my everlasting optimism took it to think
he was kidding. I think Tweets was ready for Colbert to unload, and was on his toes.

10. But wasn't there more?
I'm not sure ....but after Matthews said...I think the Democrats will win the house...and I'm not sure that will be good for America.....

Didn't he say, "but I don't want to take sides".

And Colbert replied, "I think you just did." (And that was the end of the interview.) Did anyone else hear that?

12. You would be correct. Peoples' memories are selective, mine
included. So thanks for reminding me!

that tweety was a life-long dem.

(life long dem my ass! i'm a life long dem, and so i know what we're suppose to sound like. and it certainly isn't anything like the way tweety sounds when he's blowing the gop's horn!)

17. Colbert is right. Matthews
worked for President Carter for 4 years, Tip O'Neill for 6 (those are the ones Colbert mentioned) and also for Muskie and had started with Moss (Utah). Before that he was in the Peace Corps. In the 70's he ran for US Congress from Philadelphia as a Democrat, lost to the incumbent.

You are right that he doesn't sound like a Democrat and that is what Colbert brought up to. Long, strong past as a Dem, now kissing up to republicans.

7. MAthews BSed through the whole interview.
He's trying to act like an outgoing "look at me and the crazy things I can do!" instead of the rightwing mouthpiece that he is everyday on his own show. Look at how he said nothing positive about * during the interview. He's constantly saying stupid things like comparing * to Lincoln.

11. That was sort of my point; he's trying to appeal to the masses.
(I dunno about 'look at me and the crazy things...')
It's not Tweety, he's trying to morph?
