Anyone else just feel like things are going to get worse?
Edited on Tue Jun-27-06 06:16 PM by EOO
Before they get better?

And I say this because I was listening to George Carlin's newest disc "Life Is Worth Losing" today. In it, his closing bit is a long one about a "coast to coast" emergency scenario in which he pictures life is going to get worse (via a huge fire and Bush cant decide whether it's an emergency or not) before it gets better.

I know a lot of people here are optimistic that the democrats are going to take back the Senate and/or the House, but I'm just getting more and more pessimistic that the Republicans have already rigged the voting machines well ahead of schedule, that all of the laws passed in the next couple of years completely eliminate our personal freedoms, that all our senators and representatives have already been bought, sold, and paid for like the slave trade.

In fact, I just think it's going to get worse from there. Topics about pundits come up all the time, with Ann Coulter being the worst offender. I have had this feeling that her book "Godless: The Church Of Liberalism" is going to be their Mein Kampf. I'm just surprised they havent offered a "final solution" yet.

But as far as things getting worse go, it seems like things have since the second coming of Bush. Gas is at $3.00 a gallon (and climbing), we lost all our freedoms thanks to the Patriot Act, and we're slowly losing our money.

I picture a scenario where it does get worse - another terrorist attack happens, this time on the west coast. Bush gets kicked out of office for failing to prevent the attack, Cheney takes over and he's kicked out in three weeks. Then Karl Rove declares himself supreme emperor. Other countries intervene in the Rovain take-over. The U.S. is forced to split up into seperate entities, and all-out chaos ensues. The suburbans become jungles because no one will be able to afford electricity. We begin to plead to other countries for help, but thanks to the war, no one will. We're forced to unite on our own, or we seperate the states a la Yugoslavia or the Soviet Union.

But everything will play out nicely as the US (what's left of it) will undergo a Soviet-style de-nazification (complete with our own Nuremburg-style trials of the administration who did not flee the country) of the Bush administration and forget that these 8 years happened. All our personal freedoms are restored by the new government and all wars we started (like the war on drugs and the war on terror) are ended.

1. Why wouldn't things get worse? Have things gotten better even ONCE
in the last six years?

8. Yet, while the US media makes it sound like the world still likes
us they don't. Just like France helped us kick out the Brits, then we kicked out the Germans for Europe, perhaps, it's time for Europe to kick out the monarchs of the US.

I have wondered if Warren Buffet didn't make his generous donation because of the falling dollar and our in ability to recover from the decline based on our ability to physically produce nothing but innovation, which now those intellectual foreign students are returning to their home land because of the corruptness of corporate American.

At least now, there is still worth in his money!

3. Not to freak you out totally, but
mystics have been discussing what is happening for quite a while now, and it looks to be a few rough years ahead. But it is part, I believe, of a total change in our concepts of reality because universal consciousness will be expanded to a huge extent.

5. Entropy and martial law
We are at a very low point, but I feel we'll go even lower.

I expect that Bush will declare martial law at some point. These people crave power too much to give it up willingly.

6. The thing is - you know that Bush wants to, too.
He's just waiting for another terrorist attack to happen so he can stick martial law in California and New York.

That's when my scenario plays out.

12. Even when 95% of Americans fully realize that their government
has been taken over by a band of vicious crooks, I can't see how they will be able to overthrow the oppressors. Physical, military type action has no chance. Mass economic boycotts won't be very strong because most of the angry ones will be those that have no money to spend or jobs.

On the other hand, what kind of life could the oppressors be living with the American economy in total collapse, the U.S. as a large but destitute third world Country, millions of it's citizens in prison camps around the country? What good will money and power be in an environment like that? Are any of those crooks thinking that far ahead?

Another question, why is the administration hell bent on giving up American control of businesses to foreign entities, i.e. shipping, ports, airlines, nuclear technologies? Does this suggest that the administration is actually being controlled by out of the country power brokers?

14. the log rolling school of political debate
the trick is, the boosheviks did something so awful (stole the 2k election) they must, in effect, spin the news in a mad neverending effort that utilizes everything that comes over the wire, with a few carefully manufactured boondoggles (iraq, terry shivo, katrina-as-gods-punishment-on-the big easy, 911 etc) thrown in to keep the mess on track, all this just to survive!...iow the gopigs aren't in control of events - they are trying to photo op everything in a self serving way but.....events are running away and there's nothing them goatheads can do except try to disappear from the public consciousness (see tom ridge, ari fliesher, ted olsen, sam donaldson, tom brocawcaw, dan rawther, bob woodward, alan greenspan, sally quinn, susan schmidt and a whole plague of locusts others who are similar to these creeps) and shred as much of the record as they can.....if anyone doesn't know the entire gopig/bush administration isn't TERRIFIED night and day, anxiously watching the pigmedia desperately lying to save their necks, then...well, this mess we're in will continue to defy understanding....the thing is, we're a very corrupt society obviously, and maybe we should just admit it, before we can start cleaning up.....
