So apparently, Joe Lieberman is having to decide whether to run as a Democrat or an Independent in the next election. Let me help him make up his mind: run as an Independent.

I'm getting tired of people talking about how the Democratic Party supposedly "left them" as opposed to them leaving the party.

The party has left them, but not in the way that they think. Democrats are growing balls and speaking out against the unprecedented ways in which Dubya has taken away our freedoms since 9/11 and the fact that he lied us into a war. The DINOs, meanwhile, are trying to undermine everything we're trying to do, either by whining about how we should "support" our shiftless President or supporting Dubya's disastrous policies. But if you're so scared (and stupid) that you buy every line that Dubya and House/Senate Republicans try to sell you, turn Republican already and shut the hell up.

The Democratic party doesn't need dead weight DINOs like Lieberman and other similarly-minded people. It's not a matter of taking away free speech to those who may not completely agree with the Democratic party line (I'm not sure I completely agree with it). It's a matter of joining the Republican party when you have all the trappings of a Republican already.

Stop wasting our time, Lieberman. Join the Republican Party and take your place on the wrong side of history. Democrats don't want you in our ranks anymore.
