Ever hear of Nomi Prins? She was on WJ this morning and she
was very good. She served as a Goldman Sachs managing director from 2000-2002 under the guy that Bush has just chosen as Sec. of Treasury. She did not paint a really rosy picture of him. When a caller asked her how she felt about "distribution of wealth" and called her a liberal, she accepted the title and agreed that she felt that wealthy should be distributed.

She was good enough to remember her name and watch her in the future.

She has been featured on dozens of radio shows across the U.S. including CNN Radio, Marketplace Radio, Air America, NPR, WNYC-AM and regional Pacifica stations.

2. Thanks for elaborating on Nomi Prins's background.
I can't recall hearing of her before though she certainly has accomplished a lot.

I just had a good feeling about her as I watched her on C-Span's Washington Journal this morning because she seemed very open and honest. So I decided that I wanted to mention her name on DU for others to read (perhaps for the first time). I think we should share information about writer/speakers like Nomi instead or in addition to posting rants about nasty RW writers.

I wouldn't spend 5 seconds listening to Ann Coulter but I would happily spend a few hours listening to Nomi.

Heck, let's start helping to promote our own. Maybe more and more of our artists will speak out in support of true Democracy through their various art forms.

And thanks for mentioning her book. I'm going to buy a copy.:-)

3. That caller was a jerk
"I want to know how you got your job...."

Sanctimonious jerk!

She did very well in spite of his idiocy.
