2. This is the dumbest damn idea for an ammendment to the Constitution

that I can even think of!

As much as I think it's wrong, I can understand why there are some people who want an ammendment against abortion, or permitting religious displays in gov't buildings, even gay marriage! Those supporters really believe in their cause! But WHY in the world would anyone be concerned about burning the flag????? Other than braging that you WON, what has been fixed or cured? NOTHING!

I've heard numbers all over the place, but all the reports indicate that the number of flag burnings have been expremely low! I really don't understand how or why this even became a topic for debate, let alone sponsored as an ammendment to the Constitution??????

Surely, even the RW nuts can't think this is a real issue!
