I wonder that too. This is just another battle in the ongoing war against the press. We already know that the Bush Administration is the most secretive in history, so you can just imagine what they've done that hasn't been exposed yet. My guess is that there is a big story that they are "sitting" on because of its potential explosivity.

Indeed, there may be more they are holding onto but it seems that the Times really turned around when they were told to hold off on the NSA spying story and found out they were being lied to...I think they finally figured out that Bush cannot be trusted..
