Larry Johnson: VP Cheney, Chef in Chief
The evidence now on the public record is overwhelming and, if we could have a jury, Vice President Dick Cheney would be found guilty of cooking the intelligence and lying us into war. Three remarkable and compelling pieces of evidence have hit the streets within the last two weeks. Let's start with today and work backwards. The Democratic Policy Committee held a hearing on the pre-war intelligence. Republican Congressman Walter Jones of North Carolina, who requested to attend today's Senate Democratic Policy Committee hearing -- asked Col. Lawrence Wilkerson (Ret'd) how neoconservatives in the Administration gained so much power, and why no one spoke out against their efforts to shape policy toward Iraq in the run-up to war. Col. Wilkerson responded, "The Vice President".
.
.
.
To call someone a liar, particularly the President and Vice President, is considered stepping over the line of public decorum. However, given the facts on the record, there is no other logical conclusion. Bush and Cheney are liars and because of their lies, Americans are dead and grievously wounded.

1. I am not counting them getting tried for Treason....
The Dems will put up a good fight...but as we has seen the Repugs are their own worst enemy they will fight each other to finish to see who will prosecute the * cabal...as if they had nothing to do with the empowerment of the * cabal...

3. Cheney and Rumsfailed cooked the Intell at the OSP.
The plan was to lie the American public into the Illegal Invasion of Iraq and then blame the CIA for "bad Intell" when no WMDs were found there. I am convinced that CIA Chief Tenet knew this and so do C. Powel.

4. I agree.
It is also possible that they expected a very different response from the Iraqi population. Were the Americans greeted with flowers and open access to the oil supplies, the lack of WMD would not have been questioned as much.

5. A republican from NC, and Diane Feinstein see the light?
In this Crooks & Liars clip from CSpan 3 yesterday:

The Vice Presdident is named, (the little gasp is Diane), and Rep. Walter Jones(R) from NC is now aware that his party has dropped the ball, BIG TIME!

It's a clip worth seeing and saving.

6. Cheney cooks intelligence
It is so obvious what hoodwinkers Cheney and Rumsfeld are. I sure hope there is enough anger at them from all involved to take this to a conclusion where they get in big trouble.

"""Tenet picked up the phone to call Hadley.

"She is not coming over,” he shouted into the phone. “We are not rewriting this report one more time. It is over. Do you hear me! And don’t you ever treat my people this way again. Ever!”""
