Clearly, everything he gets "officially" (in emergency funding, no less) goes straight under the table and into his buddys pockets.

4. Ummmm - how about eliminating the tax cuts for the rich?
Edited on Mon Jun-26-06 10:04 AM by Jim__
How does Congress justify cutting taxes for the rich while the president begs for hand-outs for American troops at war?

16. Bingo -- A very good talking point
Add together all of the tax cuts and see just how much the troops would have benefited from the total amount of tax cuts thus far...

21. So what happened to all the billions that the House and Senate
just passed? I mean, that was to help support and arm and armor the troops . . .

(I know what happened to it . . . the question was rhetorical . . .)

23. Actor Gary Sinise just gave a website on CNN to go to to send items
to the troops. He mentioned phone cards, mileage cards "to come home" (WTH?), other things. AmericaSupportsYou.com.

Why is Gary helping Dubya out here?

29. "to come home" means the mil drops them wherever in the US &
they pay their own fare HOME. IIRC most are dropped off on the east coast. This ia old news, btw. Pathetic, isn't it?

24. It just pisses me off whenever I hear anyone asking for charity for
the troops. They shouldn't have to ask for charity. Charity implies that you don't have an obligation you owe to them. They shouldn't need charity. All their needs should be generously met by the government and paid for by all through the tax system. If they need charity then the system is broken and needs fixing.
