Palast's new book... anyone read it?

I have just started, and am already enthralled.

Mission Accomplished meant that bin Laden was not after the US anymore since a few days before we quitetly pulled all US troops out of Saudi Arabia, fufilling one of his main demands.

I can only take it in small doses and with a stiff drink. The stuff about war profiteering and the unbelievable looting of the U.S. Treasury will make you want to break something. :grr:

6. I just finished it

I went thought it pretty fast even though sometimes I would be so pissed off I had to put it down..or I was gonna explode I swear. It is a fascinating and infuriating book. I wish he would just have added the solution..lmao...ahh I can't wait for more DUers to read it ...I don't wanna spoil w hat is a very good read but I am dieing to hear everyones take.

We'll see if they get on the shelf. (I've donated left-wing books before and gotten them on the shelf, but I think the Adult Collections director was a little taken aback by the cover of this one.)

I was so glad to see that somebody besides me remembers April Glaspie. A few years ago, you couldn't even find a reference to her on the internet. (Don't know if you can now, as I stopped looking quite a while ago.) It's good to receive reassurance of the position I've held for 15 years now, which is that our government invited the first Gulf war.
