I think this is a VERY good sign...
I posted this joke that's being passed around on various lists of romance authors and readers, who are generally apolitical. Keep in mind that there are THOUSANDS of people on these lists. Romance, of all the literary genres, has a huge presence on the web, even more than science fiction, if you can believe it.

The fact that this joke is bouncing around out there, among people who are not generally political, is a damn good sign.
