Journalist Who Reported Evidence Disputing US Claims of an Al Qaeda Kill Has Been Murdered in Pak/Afghan Tribal Areas

The murder of journalist Hayatullah Khan from the tribal areas situated on the Pak-Afghan border has created great fear and terror in the minds of the people of tribal areas. Now they have come to the conclusion that some forces have been using their areas for an ugly game.

The Voice For Peace has condemned the muder of the journalist. It says that the terrorists want to create terror and fear among the people as they want to use the areas for carrying out their terrorist activities. These reports are very disturbing-- that Hayatullah was aware of the game being played in the name of war on terrorism. Some people here suspect that the Bush administration has had a hand in the murder, but they have been unable, so far, to prove their claim.

the real heros are journalists - thank you Hayatullah Khan

8. Al Franken did a show with a panel of journalists - this issue came up.
Jane Arraf, former Baghdad bureau chief for CNN, was also a Reuters Correspondent, and has reported from locations like Albania, Afghanistan, Haiti and Bosnia.

She mentioned the courage of non-embedded reporters in Iraq risking their lives and Michael Fumento, who has been over there embedded got apoplectic and was saying that only 5 US reporters have died over there and that she's giving inflated numbers by including non-American reporters... there was over-talking going on and Al finally had to tell Michael to shut up for the moment.

The thing is if all the MSM are about hiding the truth the fact that even 5 have died in Iraq is significant and the fact that we have to depend on the rest of the world for truthful reporting where a much higher percentage of them risk their lives for the truth is even a worse reflection on US.

But Michael was only about seeing the numbers in a way that could allow him to maintain his bullshit views. Problem is he does make accurate statements so in my opinion that makes him even more dangerous than the likes of Bill O'RiledUpAllTheTime.

In right wing world accurate statements even if they exclude other pertinent facts are so rare that people believe they have to be the whole truth and nothing but because they are so unused to seeing facts in the reality based worldview.

It's like they have gone into a cave for this past administration and believe that a flashlight has all the properties and power of the sun.
