Miami 7 link to Padilla just announced
Edited on Fri Jun-23-06 01:46 PM by underpants
Chicago, Padilla was from Chicago and the Sears Tower is there too. There you go.

Anyone remember William Krar? well apparently neither does MSM.

Oddly the UPI editorial calling Ashcroft out for not holding a press conference about William Krar no longer exists ("Who is William Krar?")
http://www.upi.com/inc/view.php?StoryID=20040311-030156-8181r

Still don't remember?

from the December 29, 2003 edition
http://www.csmonitor.com/2003/1229/p02s01-usju.html

Last month, an east Texas man pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon of mass destruction. Inside the home and storage facilities of William Krar, investigators found a sodium-cyanide bomb capable of killing thousands, more than a hundred explosives, half a million rounds of ammunition, dozens of illegal weapons, and a mound of white-supremacist and antigovernment literature.

If you were wondering Krar looks like this (notice the lack of dreadlocks)

40. There was actually an act of "terror" in Fredericksburg...
about 10 years ago I think. A pregnant woman got blown up in her drive-way. Do you remember that? I don't recall if the case was ever solved. It got not one iota of national press coverage. She wasn't pretty and blonde I guess.

Okay I might be mixing up stories but was that the one where they found the guy hiding under the church altar?

I remember the woman getting killed. The killer tried to make it look like it was like the Atlanta Olympic park bombing, the troopers and the FBI knew it was BS from the getgo-they focused on the most likely culprits.

but now that I think about it, I think it was actually in Louisa Virginia, which is approximately 1 mile east of bumfuck. The whole thing was really weird. The woman lived alone and they couldn't find any motive for it or anything.

Isn't that the town that Twin Oaks is in? An Intentional Community (commune) of longstanding, for those not in the know...

this picture was taken there...

edited to add:

Any links or town newspapers that might have covered this story? I had friends there some time ago...

70. Damned if I didn't find a link, Google is da bomb...
no pun intended. I do believe that I recall something about a commune in Louisa, which is really bizarre, since that particular community hasn't progressed much socially beyond 1865.

73. Thank You!
I'll see if i can contact some old friends. Everyone i know in community is peace loving and respectful, but there are a lot of anti-establishment folk floating around... the type of people who tend to be very smart. The most troubling aspect of older communities is that the now-grown children often rebel in anti-hippie/liberal ways. Commune kids can tend to become lawyers, businessmen, doctors, and even... GASP... Rethuglicans!

What's strange is that everyone in Louisa seemed suspicious ofTwinOaks when i was there... it seemed like they blamed quite a few town troubles on them "outsiders" (despite the outsiders having been there for 35 or so years). Makes me wonder...

And my dad worked for Sears for over 25 years - and he created a display that won our family a trip to Miami - and because of the display he was in line for a promotion that would send our family to Chicago where my dad would work in the Sears Tower!
Thank Jeebus my dad was also psychic and decided to not pursue the promotion and, in fact resigned altogether from Sears - he saved me from Gitmo!
Rest in Peace, Dad and thanks for thinking 30 years ahead... :)
