PA Du'ers, hows Santorum's WMD story playing on your local news?
Is it being covered by the local media and if so is he being laughed at?

1. In Philly...
they're too busy reporting fires, rapes, missing white women, and indicted councilpersons.

they rarely report substantive matters on local news and if they mention this stuff, it's like reading USA Today.

2. I never watch the local tv news. Ever.

But a check of the sites yields media apathy

http://www.philly.com/mld/philly/

http://www.nbc10.com/index.html

and in fact an utter disregard for what is happening beyond the "delaware valley"

oh except for sears tower, of course. the war on terror or something

3. I'll watch tonight and let you know
But it's true, local news doesn't go into much beyond Philly/South Jersey local stuff like murders and such. They're talking about it on talk radio I'm sure, but most of talk radio here is local conservative or conservative-leaning types, Rush, Hannity, the usual piped-in talkers. We really need AAR back here.

5. Same in Pittsburgh..... I can't stand local news programs.
But, on the radio, Lynn Cullen had some fun at Ricky's expense today. Of course, she has made fun of him for years.

6. NBC and CBS affiliates have ignored it
Edited on Thu Jun-22-06 09:26 PM by Maccagirl
but the ABC/Fox spokesmodels (owned by Sinclair Broadcasting, natch) said breathlessly "WMDs have been found in Iraq!". This was WSYX/Fox 28 in Columbus (Ohio). They also give Mark Hyman's "The Point" face-time every newscast-so that should tell you everything. Whores extraordinaires.

7. Nothing in Pgh.Post Gazette or Scaiffe's Tribune Review rag
Santorum was interviewed on KDKA radio this morning and was whining away that the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had not covered his "big" story on alleged weapons of mass destruction - then he called all members of the Post Gazette editorial board "idiots". What really amazed me was that Scumbag Richard Scaiffe's rag, the Tribune-Review, had nothing about the story either.

9. The morning drive-time team on WDVE (Jim and Randy)
apparently had a field day at Ricky's expense this morning. My husband said they were ALL OVER Santorum's case.

I wish I would have heard it. :)
