Switched my AT&T long distance today.
Had thought about doing it but after they came out with their basic up yours - the information we have on you belongs to us, not you, and we will use it any way we want - I was spurred on to action. I went to lowermybills.com and found the best rate for my area and then paid to switch it with my AT&T Mastercard (which I plan to cancel). My DSL is Bellsouth so I am thinking of switching to Comcast. Anyone know what Comcast's position is on privacy?

1. Thanks for that link. I'm switching real soon myself if I can determine
my privacy isn't being invaded. I also have AT&T.

2. unfortunately my DSL is through SBC which is part of AT&T
and I cannot drop my cell phone coverage through Cingular at this time, so there is very little I can do

5. Bellsouth.
I am trying to figure out how to get Bellsouth out of my life too, since they are now AT&T.

6. Hey Guys - take a moment to read this.
Telephones, NSA and you

I completely agree with voting with your $$$, but a political problem needs a political solution. You need your congresscritter to represent YOU, not their corporate masters.
