Does anyone in their right mind believe the "troops" are supported

by leaving their mission in Iraq undefined and open-ended? Either John Warner and the Republicans are out of their minds or they're transparently cynical pieces of shit. Which is it?

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/21/washington/21cnd-cong.html

"It sends signals," Mr. Warner said, signals that he asserted would undermine the bipartisan backing that the American forces in Iraq have so far enjoyed. Now is the time, Mr. Warner said, for Congress to give President Bush the support he needs, or risk making a "historic mistake."

Too late for that Warner! It's already done, thanks to idiots like you.

and they're not out of their minds. They are saying what they been told to say to confuse the American people because the PLAN is to build permanent bases and stay in Iraq forever. If we don't stay there, then we can't maintain a foothold in the ME and ultimately control the oil, and corporations can't continue to fill their coffers with our tax dollars via government contracts.

The mission is undefined and open-ended on purpose and no Republican will speak against it. Especially Roberts, who is probably getting handsomely rewarded for his Bush ass-kissing.

and they are way too proud to admit that they have been wrong and continue to be wrong on this issue (and others as well.) Hard to answer your question but I think in their private moments, the thugs are saying, "we are fucked." bush is going to put the gop in a permanent minority status because his supporters are both cynical and insane.
