Bush Says Opinions of 'Most Europeans' Absurd
Edited on Wed Jun-21-06 11:43 AM by kpete

President Bush Participates in Press Availabilty at 2006 U.S.-EU Summit
June 21, 2006
Zeremoniensaal Hall
Hofburg Palace
Vienna, Austria

Q And if I may, to President Bush, you've got Iran's nuclear program, you've got North Korea, yet, most Europeans consider the United States the biggest threat to global stability. Do you have any regrets about that?

PRESIDENT BUSH: That's absurd. The United States is -- we'll defend ourselves, but at the same time, we're actively working with our partners to spread peace and democracy. So whoever says that is -- it's an absurd statement.

8. Somebody made the statement, that's true
But the majority of europeans agree with that statement. So, it's still a collective insult.

Edited on Wed Jun-21-06 11:44 AM by Neecy
How can this retard say the words "spread peace" with a straight face? Why doesn't he get pelted with rotten fruit or greeted with hooting laughter when he says this?

Good god, he's the biggest warmonger since Hitler!

13. sorry, but I believe it to be true
When was the last time an industrialized nation used so many resources to build a huge military and then send them rolling across borders? The Suez crisis comes to mind, but that was nothing compared to this maniac.

11. um, Iran and North Korea aren't the countries starting wars right now
Given Bush's low poll numbers, he should be more concerned that most Americans consider the US the biggest threat to global stability (this particular administration to be exact). Besides, hasn't Europe been more willing to talk with both Iran and North Korea to find a diplomatic way of calming the waters?

Like I said several days ago, I hate it when he travels overseas. I get embarrassed every time.

25. "Wir benötigen Wohnzimmer"
Edited on Wed Jun-21-06 01:13 PM by Sentinel Chicken
Hitler's excuse when he was asked why invaded eastern Europe. "We need living room."

Sort of reminds me of this. He can't understand why everyone thinks he's such a bad guy. In his own mind he's only doing what he thinks is right no matter what the rest of the world thinks. His opinion is all that matters to him.
