How many world wars will there be this century?

How many world wars will be fought before 2100.

...one long continuous World War III and we will not be a world power when it's over either.

2. None

Since World Wars involve nations, and nations either don't really exist anymore, or won't as we become a mono-culturistic corporate state governed by those who promise us a better future(with a McDonalds on every corner, no matter where you go), I don't see how we could technically have a world war.

Although, if the problem of cheap energy hits us first, then the dying nation-state will briefly come back, and they will fight over the blood needed for their survival, but there won't be much growth after that, at least on the scale that we've come to know.

If any of us survive, we will be back to throwing rocks at each other.

One the US military will seek to keep offshore as of that, it will have a one-sided settlement
like at the end of WW1, and this tension will ignite a second one that will hit stateside.

But a stateside war would have the effect of that the bubonic plague had in the 1300's,
preparing the way for a nuclear peasant revolt against the bastille, and the new era of
the american republic... and if you call that overthrow a world war, then "3", if you call it
just a global civil war, then "2".

Man i hope i'm wrong.
