endorsement for Lieberman a few days ago (that I understand perfectly well).

All that Reid and Schumer had to do was to say that both amendments were proposing a withdrawal from Iraq starting NOW.

3. Dems sure have a funny way of trying to not seem indecisive, or
trying to emphasize a united front. So Kerry is standing on principle and talking tough. Too bad there's not more like him. I think setting an end date would indicate they mean business. Not setting one shows the very indecisiveness they're trying to avoid.

4. Agree, finally Kerry is taking a stand
And the rest are babbling and playing politics. I didn't see the endorsement of Lieberman, but Lieberman likes the war and would love to see more mayhem.

5. I don't know what Reid said about/to Liebermann, but any
person, including Hillary, who supports this war will not be getting my vote. Enough is enough, we need to get out! I'm behind Kerry 100% on that.

9. Amen to that, being a Democrat doesn't shield you from a pro-war stance...
Either repent ala John Edwards...or risk alienating a huge portion of the Democratic Party base.

8. Sadly, that appears to be the case
Gone are the days of "Give 'em hell, Harry!". He has turned into a weak, ineffectual leader for the party at a time that we need a strong, united front.

I don't understand all of this tap-dancing and pandering to the Republicans.

17. WE don't get to decide on replacing Reid
He is the leader of the Senate Democrats. If you want him out, run for the Senate.

11. Kerry Should Stick To His Gun On This
If and when the US is compelled to withdraw from Iraq, the troop activities will see marked reductions over the period and will obviously be noticed by the Iraqis; do the quivering Democrats that are objecting to spsecific withdrawal timetable think they can hide that fact by not setting a date for the completion of the withdrawal?

14. Hit and run. Not from me. I am asking a question in regard of the latest
developments on the Iraq War debate and this article in the NYTimes.

It is clear that the Democratic leadership is trying to escape this debate (partly because it would force some of the potential Democratic presidential candidates to make a choice that they do not want to make), but it is very disturbing that, each time somebody wants to show some leadership, these articles are there: see Alito filibuster, Feingold and censure, and now this.

15. it's dishonest
the honest way to make your point would be to say Reid is feeding the media etc. and then say why, and let people decide if they agree.

Instead, you post a form of push poll. All smear, no substance. No respect for the DUers reading it. :-(

18. has Reid stopped beating his wife?
any clue?

And before you say anything, I'm not smearing Reid, I'm just innocently inquiring about the "latest developments" vis a vis the domestic violence situation in Harry Reid's home.

p.s. I think you and all DUers are morons so I think you're going to buy this. :sarcasm:

I think people call names when they can't make the arguement... No sarcasm needed because I am dead serious....
