Arsonists out of control here in Okla. Many grass fires being started
intentionally. Last night the local volunteer fire dep't caught one of
their OWN MEMBERS lighting fires in several places. I can't even begin to imagine what kind of sick bastard would do such a thing. And reports on local news just a few minutes are that many others deliberately set around the area.
:grr:

1. Pyromaniacs are often attracted to fire departments especially volunteer
departments. Total sick-0's, I wish they had a screening test that could spot them.

3. I guess I knew that but never really saw it firsthand.
Fortunately nobody has (yet) been seriously hurt but many homes have burned down from these fires. Wind was blowing about 35 mph today, humidity is in the teens & temp over 70 deg...in January yet. :eyes:

2. sad.
We drove past several fires/fire sites around Tulsa & Catoosa when we were back last month. For every wonderful human impulse there seems to another that is horrific and stupid.

4. They're battling a big one not far from Catoosa right now. Over toward
Owasso. No info if that one was arson though, all it takes is one little spark or some idiot tossing a cigarette out the window.

5. I know Jenks was getting it when we were there.
My sister teaches in Jenks, so we were a little worried then.

Hope y'all get some serious precipitation soon.

6. Our "sort-of-Democrat" governor pushed a "pray for rain" day a couple
weeks ago. It hasn't worked. :grr:

8. My junior nutball senator is a guy I have known very well personally for
over 35 years. I was chief pilot for his daddy's company and flew the little shit all over the country for years since he was a spoiled smartass high-schooler. He has stopped replying to my mail. I'm tempted to drive down to his house and give him a knuckle sandwich. If I weren't such a lazy bastard I would write a book about him and his nutball family.

13. What else could he do? Fucking Fema and the White House
wouldn't return his calls (or those of our Congressmen) for two weeks. Did you hear him on the news say he thought FEMA should be dismantled if this was the best they could do? Telling us to pray was probably a bit more diplomatic than telling us we were abandoned and to kiss our asses goodbye.

9. Where ya at, Karl?
I'm in downtown Oklahoma City. From Kingfisher. Those idiots are out of control. I keep telling my mom to keep watering the house and lawn out where she lives. Stupid ass farmers keep flicking cigarettes out their damned windows driving down the road. Freaking idiots. Anyway, howdy, fellow Oklahoman!

11. I live on the shore of Ft. Gibson lake about 35 miles east of Tulsa.
I don't get to OKC much these days but used to ferry airplanes in and out of Downtown Airpark there often...they're famous for being one of the best airplane painting facilities in the country. :D

14. Our lakeside community is divided about equally between permanent
residents and folks who have "cabins" here. We pretty much live here on a
mostly permanent basis but have another domicile in Georgia and one in Florida .

15. My family is 35 miles north of Tulsa...
They and all of the ranchers in the area are on full alert. Not bad enough that you have to worry about "newcomers" to the country that can't figure out you don't burn leaves and trash in conditions like this. Now the pyros are out getting their jollies too. Great.
