Bush plague pests Budapest.
I did some searches on Lord Pissypants trip to see what havoc will be wrought.
Seems king dumbya will be bringing his fleet of limousines and SUVs.
Airport roads to be shut for President Bush's arrival.
Significant traffic restrictions will be in force on the roads connecting Budapest's Ferihegy international airport with the city center during U.S. President George W. Bush's upcoming visit. All has been done last minute due to *ush changing his plans from traveling to the Ukraine.
I've read his entourage estimated anywhere between 500 and 1000. They had some trouble finding accommodations for the ass wipe. First reports were that they were staying at the New York on the Pest side in the party district cause all the five stars in the historical district were booked solid but the latest reports have him kicking tourist to the curb at a five star in a better location.......

http://www.pestiside.hu/archives/report_bush_budapest_invasion_targets_french_hotel002436.php

"As we reported last week, George W. Bush's hastily-planned trip to Budapest left the White House scrambling for places to put up the US President and a few hundred of his closest traveling companions. But the plot, as they say, has now thickened, for we've received a convincing first-hand report that the brief drop-in by the Leader of the Free World has led to dozens or perhaps hundreds of tourists and other visitors being kicked out of their deluxe rooms at the French-owned Le Meridien Budapest. Sacré bleu!

Through longtime tipster J.T. we were put in touch with one G.H., who with his wife checked into the hotel for a week-long stay on Friday. Sometime yesterday, G.H. saw that there was a notice on his television asking him to contact the reception. He did, and this is what happened:

The duty manager told me that… the entire hotel was being cleaned out of all guest for some American outfit. I was shown a letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which said 'we refer to your discussion with the American "side"… So every guest at the Meridian is being kicked out. While I was there were… short-haired Americans checking in. Dubya has thoroughly screwed up my vacation.

According to G.H., the hotel was set to tell all of the soon-to-be-booted guests of their fate earlier today. But he didn't bother sticking around to find out, given the lack of five-star hotel rooms in town, and checked into the neighboring Kempinski. He's also cheesed off because the note from the Foreign Ministry to the hotel telling them to throw their customers to the wolves was dated June 16, several days before the hotel informed most of the sheep.

"We haven't confirmed A.H.'s account because, well, that would come perilously close to, you know, actual reporting. But it sounds as believable to us as it is enraging. And the only thing that keeps us from losing it is the knowledge that the asshole Americans responsible for kicking all these hapless tourists out onto the street first had to brown-nose the French."

I don't want him to represent me or my country any more!

5. Appropriate for the occasion...
Talpra Magyar!, Hiv a haza,
It az ido, Most vagy soha,
Rabok legyukn, vagy szabadok
It az ido, valaszatok!
Arany Janos, 1849

Rough translation:
Attention Hungarians! Your homeland calls,
The time has come, now or never,
Shall we be slaves or freemen,
The time is now, you must decide!
Jonathan Gold, 1849

The Hungarians have a proud history of fighting against fascism, and they are completely justified in fighting *'s fascistic regime.

8. Thanks, that is beautiful
My biological family came from Budapest, or at least that's what my research has uncovered. Mr. Zola says that's where I get my firey side from. :)

Here's to firey Hungarians fighting bush*s fascistic regime :toast:

15. From the pest, or the buda side?
And how does that matter? I've been told that my people were from the buda side. I just don't understand the significance of that, if there is any.

16. My mother was from the Buda side of the Danube...
she was born in Coronorseg in 1923 (accents on the second o and the e; the e is pronounced as a long a in English, otherwise it means something entirely different).

13. For me the Cindy part was not as important as...
the towing of vehicles the day BEFORE the shrub was to arrive. It reminds me of when he went abroad last year (IIRC) and people were told to stay away from their windows if they lived on the route he was going to take.

Never look at the shrub or his evilness will rub off on you

7. I traveled to Budapest last year.
Edited on Tue Jun-20-06 10:45 PM by Tinksrival
It is an excellent European city to travel too. Great transportation system and a lot within walking distance. Architecture is awesome! People were very nice! Our cab driver helped us to get our lost luggage from customs in time for a formal dinner. I hope they will still welcome us after shit head leaves.

12. No, I didn't have time for the baths.
It would have been cool though. Some people from the conference did and said it was awesome.
You know I really hate web shots! I've been meaning to move all my stuff to Flicker!
