Has Fallujah, Part Two Begun?
This is from the Arabmonitor. Lock 'em in, shut off the water, cut the lights. Should be interesting.

Iraq: US military airforce strikes at residential quarters in Ramadi

Baghdad, 18 June - Hundreds of US occupation forces, aided by Iraqi armed forces, are on rampage in Ramadi. The troops are controlling all access points to the city which has been cordoned off since 10 June, deprived of water and electricity. US military airforce is repeatedly striking at residential areas, while ground forces roam through the streets calling on the residents to evacuate the city.

Sheikh Fassal Jaoud, former governor of the Anbar province, declared the situation is catastrophic and residents fear the US occupation forces are planning a mass offensive like that on Falluja in November 2004, saying “the fearful city is haunted by memories of the battles that raged in nearby Falluja in 2004".

Elsewhere, in Baghdad, despite the massive security crackdown in the capital, this morning a group of 14 armed men, one of whom in uniform, arrived in four vehicles in front of the Wissam bakery in the Kadhimiya quarter and kidnapped 10 bakery workers.

destruction didn't work before, it will not work now.

These people will hate us forever.

5. This will be
at least as tough of a fight as Fallujah. At least they bombed the residential areas from the air right off the bat this round. This will mean that they won't have to go around shooting people one at a time. More economical and it plays better in the media. People blown into 20 pieces are strangely not as shocking or disturbing as those with single bullet holes in their heads.

4. Kick & Nominated - this is what we need to be discussing
The ongoing war crimes, and the giant war crime of the Iraq invasion itself is much more important, imho, than long debates about Rove, Plame, etc.
