The media is wrong. Bush's "surprise visit to Baghdad" was not really that
It was more like a well-planned sneaky little trip made by a cowardly dipshit of a frightened president who isn't man enough to go to Baghdad without doing it in utmost secrecy because he'd be scared shitless to do it any other manner. Gutless bastard.

2. I would hope most would see it for what it is--
an unwanted forein president coming to the country unanounced and uninvited.

3. Not only that, but it's rude behavior besides...
I was taught that showing up on someone's doorstep uninivited is NOT considerate behavior. One should at least call first and ask if it's OK.
How much more should the Head of State display courtesy to another Head of State?

Oh yeah. I forget this is Bush we're talking about. No class. :eyes: :puke:

7. Heard somewhere on one of the media outlets the other day
that the "surprise" visit was in the planning stages for a month. A damn month. Think they were just waiting to roll Chimpy on to the plane to get the biggest bang for the buck. They knew they were going to need to send the Chimp to divert bad news at home.

On the up side - a little less than five hours on the "front" is the longest time Chucklenuts has ever spent even close to putting his ass on the line for his country. And that is a hundred times more than Cheney, Lush, Tony Snowjob, and the whole cabal have ever spent. Everyone has seen the great picture of Snowjob and Bartlett scared sh*tless in their helicopter ride into the Green Zone, wonder why no pics of Chucklenuts has surfaced? Think he was cowering on the floor cursing KKKarl's latest little trick? Love the remark by Murtha talking about their "fat asses sitting in air conditioned offices" and taking about "we" are fighting a war. Damn straight.

I can well imagine how pissed Chucklenuts is after "playing a high value target" for five WHOLE hours (how about talking about the "high value targets of the military for months and tours on end?) only to get a one point bump in the polls. I bet Condi had to change Georgy's diaper the minute he scuttled back into the White House. Chickenshit chickenhawks.

9. I think the tears he shed were tears from fatigue and fear....
from what I heard on the tube...the landing of AF1 was scary....and so was the helo ride....so..combine that with probably not sleeping well on the trip over...and the fear factor....I can see why he cried...it all was about him...always is. IMHO

10. how can americans be like that?
i read this thread and it struck me: this is OUR people we're talking about! the very leadership of the most dynamic, powerful, inventive society ever built by humanity, yet......
some say there's no connection between the murder of JFK, the worst crime against the people of america in history, bar none, and juniorbush as the president....but there's a direct connection, it's almost a mockery...

11. They sneak Bush into Iraq, and sneak dead troops back into
the United States. Is this how an "open society" is supposed to behave?

12. Something many missed
is that the sneak trip allowed the admin to hand pick the journalists who would accompany junior on his photo op for the first time in presidential history.
The normal method is that trips are announced to the bureau chiefs of the different media organizations and they choose the reporters.
They are trusted not to break the news in advance if asked not to
Many of the media are rightfully pissed about this new method since it proves shithead doesn't trust and has began cherry picking who can report on him..
