Now back to the grim realities of W's war against Iraq
Now, 2,501of our men and women dead. Chaos continues. See at www.icasualties.org

The truth the republicans want to bury their heads in the sand about, or just call each death " a number" as Tony Snow says. Chickenhawks should never run a war.

1. Who knows what is going to happen next?
The people of the middle east have time on their side. It takes a case of all time world class hubris to proclaim that you will reign victorious over that place. Greater powers have tried and failed for thousands of years.

3. It was reported & verified that over 80% of Iraqis want us to leave
and that W has been told that by the president and vice president.

5. It would only take 1% to make it happen over a period of time.
So 80% is pretty ominous. I find this republican bluster with the proclamations and declarations embarrassing, juvenile and completely expected. What would be frightening is if they really believed that shit.

4. Ah, but American Exceptionalism
...as held by Bush** and the neocons, says that others may have tried, but they weren't American!

:eyes:

It's hubris, you're exactly right. Our soldiers and untold numbers of Iraqi civilians are dying for Repuke lies and pride.

Fall of Saigon Part II: Fall of Baghdad, coming up.

6. "but they weren't American!"
I'll bet that's what evey other Middle East conquerer said at one time or another in their own way.
It's impossible, but the fools keep trying every 100 years or so.

7. Make that 2501
As General McCaffrey says, we lose a battalion of casualties a month. We've lost a little more than a division since the start of the War.
