Many Democrats "lack the will to win,"
We are going to hear this over and over in the next few months. I pray that we prove them wrong; however, the Republicans are cocky as hell because they have Diebold on their side.

Washington --- Congressional Republicans on Thursday used a debate on the Iraq war to hammer Democrats as soft on terror, charging that Democratic criticism of the U.S. occupation amounts to "appeasement" that emboldens the nation's enemies.

Many Democrats "lack the will to win," said Rep. Charles Norwood, an Augusta-area Republican, in a speech on the House floor. "The public can decide the course of this war in November, by hopefully throwing the defeatists out of office."

1. I lack the will to live. I'm still here. Even wracked by nerve damage.
Life hurts, but I know the alternative.

They are today in the process of denying any form of election process in Nov. this year or ever! You may never see another election ballot for a decade or more since a revolution may well take that long to get the nation back!

9. It is going to come down to the people
People are getting tired of it all including all of the partisan bickering and hate getting in the way of our country... We better start putting our country before party, because that is where the strength of the people lies. We are Americans first and we better start taking care of our America or she won't be here for either party pretty soon.....

10. When Repuglicans throw out these catch phrases like -
"lack the will to win," the best response is none to the catch phrase but to throw back a catch phrase from the Democratic point of view.

We need to have a list ready to use in a second for a very fast response.

It is useless to respond by saying, "Oh, yes we do have the will to win." That just plays into the Repugs hands which should be avoided at all costs.

12. Brainwashing thieves
This is how they try to rob us of our hope. They repeat this enough - we'll start to believe it. This is a brainwashing tactic used specifically to beat us down and make us hopeless, de-energize us.

Don't listen to them! It isn't true. We DO have the will to win, and we will!

15. This is too much
I try to mostly staw away from DU because all it does is make me more angry and depressed. The recent propaganda of the House vote "to prevail in Iraq and win the war on terror" is more than most with brain cells can stomach. Like whatever the hell some politicians on capital hill decide is WHY the war is "lost" or "won". It's up to the people in the country of Iraq. They don't want us there. The only way to "win" this war is to kill thousands more Iraqi's-oh excuse me they are all terrorists and a threat to me here in Oregon or you in NY personally right? I will die if we don't defeat Iraq. SO we aren't giving them freedom at all. Propaganda bullshit. There is nothing to win. It's not our country! They don't want us there. They aren't threatening us. The propaganda is too much. And until the mainstream of America really gives a shit-I'd say the whole thing will be over in about TEN years. If we are lucky. God Bless America-country of the dumb and deluded. And in TEN years we won't have a win either. What are we fighting for? No one has ever explained that. I didn't know I voted for these scoundrels so they could care more about what happens in Iraq than what happens in America. Iraq is not America. Iraq is not at war with us. But we are at war with them. It's a frigging deluded nightmare. IS this country EVER going to evolve? I know it took Europe centuries-I guess we have a few hundred years to go.

18. We shouldn't let those 80s "you can make it happen" tapes
rules our lives. This is the "inspiration" the freepers use to support their delusions.

It may be tough. It may be a hard road. But the TRUTH will win out. We do not have to let the freepers define the terms of the game. We CAN do it.

The freepers go by the 80s feelgood kind of thing, "you can make it happen" and you can trump reality.

No, you can't.

Let us be the reality based people. Let the freepers dreams of domination and control fade into the air they are.

They have the will to destroy more and more and more lives.

Did GWB have the "will to win" when he declined SH's offer to duel? As long as they can send others to die and suffer for them, their "will" will remain.

25. Sure!
Bu$h has the "will to win" when he's not doing the fighting. Where was his "will to win" when America was fighting a war in Vietnam? We all know the answer to that! But what's worse, his attack dogs smear and slander the brave men that did the fighting in Vietnam.

His shame has no bounds!

28. oK, Norwood, you Knothead

Many Democrats "lack the will to win," said Rep. Charles Norwood, an Augusta-area Republican, in a speech on the House floor. "The public can decide the course of this war in November, by hopefully throwing the defeatists out of office."

What course in Iraq would that be, Chuckie?

With a Repuke House, Senate, and White House, as well as the Supremes to back up whatever you ignorant Repukes decide to do, how in the hell have Repukes been thwarted in any effort to conduct this war?

You've had a huge chunk of money thrown at this (four hundred billion?) and yet you say Democrats have held back the war effort? Show me a fucking munchkin, cuz I ain't in Kansas anymore...

will to win my ass.

Repukes don't have the BRAINS to win, the SOULS to win or the MORALS to win. It appears Jeebus-Gawd is only on your side when you fight to end slavery and oppression, not when you aim to create more.

Your WILL has nothing to do with it.

What a twit.....

That is a VERY good response to Dems "lack the will to win".

From the very start, the Republicans have "lacked the brains to win". That will stop the Repubs sound bite dead in it's tracks.

Now how can we get this response to the Dems?

Edit: Here's John Murtha's email address: murtha@mail.house.gov.

Here's a link to all CONGRESSIONAL E-MAIL ADDRESSES

Now, let's send a few emails from the DU "Think Tank".

Done! The more the better.

31. Some way

If there's a way we can get video of our Congressmen saying great sound bite rebuttals from CSPAN, to repub propaganda, we can make flash movies and spread it across the web.

We need ideas, put our talents to work, make good use of what little resourses we have.

We must be a force for Democracy, It really is that important.

Now let's get to work!
