Mission: Impossible
The Chimp declared in his speech yesterday:

"By helping this new government succeed, we'll be closer to completing our mission, and the mission is to develop a country that can govern itself, sustain itself, and defend itself, and a country that is an ally in the war on terror."

Currently, we have a country that is embroiled in a bitter civil war, we have citizens, police and soldiers being blown up daily, we have minimal infrastructure, and a fledgling government that has a steep uphill battle of effectiveness. The Middle East grows more unstable.

If we're really going to see this through, it is going to take YEARS, possibly DECADES. TRILLIONS of dollars. THOUSANDS more lives.

There is no denying, this is our generation's Viet Nam. Our military is at the breaking point, and the need for a draft will not be avoided much longer. The Republicans will try and stretch this out until after the next elections, but we are nearing the moment of truth.

1. We're just waiting for the proper "Catalyst" to set things off.
One of those defining moments.

2. Did you notice how he lied to us?
He said he was going to hole up at Camp David for a few days to discuss the war... but then hopped a plane to Iraq.

He can't even tell the truth about the little things.

3. I don't think a day goes by...
when there is one lie or another coming out of the White House. The whole Bush Administration is based on one big lie.

4. Paul Wolfowitz went before Congress a dozen times saying "six months"
is all it would take and Iraq would pay for itself.

Has anyone thought about giving Paulie a call to see what's up?
