That is exactly why Nancy Pelosi decided not to put out a plan on social security, despite the constant wailing that we had to have one. The strategy was that their plan was so bad that they would end up ripping themselves apart and implode on themselves. They did. Attacking Democrats didn't work because she kept referring the people back to the basic truth of their plan, privatization to benefit Wall Street.

It's actually classic co-dependent recovery. You stop paying any attention to the garbage the addict is engaged in and get on with your life. The only time you do comment on their garbage is to point out that it needs to be cleaned up. Then you say, me and the family are going this way, your welcome to come along when you get your shit together. And until they do, you let them stew in their own pot.

The minute you try to meet an addict on their ground - blame, rationalization, ridicule, justification, minimizing, hyping - you lose. You'll never beat an addict at their game, they don't rely on logic or truth or fairness or respect to win. Same with these Republicans.
