out of the $94.5 billion emergency supplemental bill for Iraq, Afghanistan and Katrina recovery and passed by the House yesterday--when the provision preventing the permanent bases in Iraq was passed by both the House and the Senate before the bill was sent to conference!
The Senate is expected to pass the bill in the next few days. Ain't our democracy grand?
