Today bush said that if the critics expect him to say he is ..
going to give a deadline and withdrawing troops they can forget it as long as he is president. So I take that to mean that since is non term is up in 2008 that means he is telling us that he will not change at all.

This arrogant ass bastard really thinks he doesn't have to listen to us he thinks that what he says and the way he thinks is the only way to go. He has been lying every since he stole the whitehouse he has been hemming and hawing as though they will withdraw the troops when they stand up he will stand down Bullshit! I have heard later this year and 2007 and they really are planning how to steal some more elections.

1. Has he forgotten that he said this:
http://www.thinkprogress.org/2005/06/28/in-1999-bush-demanded-a-timetable/

“Victory means exit strategy, and it’s important for the president to explain to us what the exit strategy is.”

and

“I think it’s also important for the president to lay out a timetable as to how long they will be involved and when they will be withdrawn.”

I guess the President only has to lay out a timetable as long as he is Bill Clinton :grr:

2. Plus, actions speak louder than words
He speaks of exit stategery yet is allowing 'permanent bases' to go ahead and be built.

Accountability even enforced by the press is not forthcoming. What a shame all around.

8. Exactly this is the main point ...
he knows damn well they are bidding their time because they are building those bases and they are setting something in place that will cause more problems.

Is the tide turning in Iraq?

THE PRESIDENT: I think -- tide turning -- see, as I remember -- I was raised in the desert, but tides kind of -- it's easy to see a tide turn -- did I say those words?

......from Wednesday's Press Conference.

4. That's so he can have more "sacrifices" to chirp about.
"Our brave troops who have given the ultimate sacrifice to defend freedom..." and the usual drivel from the famous Air National Guard (part time) pilot who heroically defended Alabama from Louisiana and the Officer's Club from the enlisted peasantry.

And the fact that they are doing this sudden PR push definitely makes me think it's much much worse than any of us could imagine.

18. Plus, our presence in Iraq is making things much worse
And provides a great terrorist recruiting tool. The Republicans are so freakin' dumb to not realize this, or else they do but their bloodlust has taken over :grr:

Are you sure that his term will be up in 08? It scares me to death to think what he might do to stay in power.

17. I think that dems should put flyers everywhere especially where some
usually don't vote or if they do they are not informed. I don't think that we should wait until October to start put them on buses and other place where young people congregate. The info should include facts and written plainly and how it effects the voters in their area.
