Newspaper puts its editorial meetings live on the Web
If you have ever wondered what goes on in a newspaper's editorial meetings -- where they decide what stories will go on the front page -- and how they make such decisions, now you can watch one live.

The Spokesman-Review of Spokane, Wash., is now webcasting its 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. editorial meetings.

Check it out:

1. We could never do that at my paper...
some of the ragging and jokes that take place are not, um, suitable for a family environment.

2. It's the wave of the future
Eventually it'll probably come to your paper as well. And y'all will have to clean it up. LOL

It's not like the good ole days when reporters used to keep whiskey flasks in their desks. Nowadays everybody has to be all professional like.

4. I've read that all important meetings are already simulcast to
Ft. Meade, MD.

Drink 'em while you still got'em, 'cause Gitmo's dry.
