i want a candidate who's "...mad as hell and not gonna take it any more!"
and who's NOT afraid to say so.
it WHAT the people WANT and NEED- a fucking REASON to get out and vote- they want to be INSPIRED to go to the polls- rather than trying to be milquetoast repuke-lite middle-of-the-roaders, not wanting to offend ANYONE- we should be concentrating on the segment of the population that generally sits out election after election after election- they really are ours- or rather the candidate that inspires them with real talk instead of platitudes...if the dems and the pukes continue to play the same games in 2008- the right combination of honest-talking firebrand could even take the election in a third party bid.

there's A LOT of ANGRY people out there, just waiting for someone to get behind.

2. That was the Republican strategy
It worked well, but look what it did to the country.

We don't just need anger -- we need optimism, planning, and "the vision thing". Just being angry makes people vulnerable to the promises of fascist mountebanks.

6. without the anger, we're doomed to repeat the past...
but i'm white, male, heterosexual, and retired- so i'll most likely survive whatever we get...and i don't have any kids whose future i need to worry about- so it doesn't really matter that much to me- from now on, if i'm not inspired by the candidate- i doubt they'll get my vote...just having a "d" after the name isn't going to cut it any more. although an "r" will NEVER get my vote. nor wil a dlc'er.

8. don't get me started on clinton...
Edited on Tue Jun-13-06 11:42 PM by QuestionAll
i'd rather have an actual democrat in office- and i don't want somebody who's going to excuse the crimes of the bfee "for the good of the nation..." if we would have held poppy's feet to the fire over iran-contra and the xmas pardons- we wouldn't be in the mess we're in in iraq.

we HAVE to investigate and expose this regime for what it is and what it's done and has yet to do.

it's a moral imperative.

and NOT another dino from the dlc spreading a repuke/corporate agenda.

9. Clintonesque is good...
but I really think aside from the optimism, they will have to have a bit of a mean streak...(occasionally channeling Lewis Black or something). Democrats are just to friggin nice!

10. The phrase now is "Jobs Americans aren't doing".
I agree with your sentiment, illegals would work harder, and do it for less money.

7. The MSM loves to tear those kind of messages/messengers apart...
It's easy for a few weeks to do that strategy...then you get pinned as "having a temper", "overemotional", "screechy"....

You have to mix it up or scream at the top of your lungs at your peril.

11. we badly need a true populist candidate . . .
one whose allegiance is to "we the people" and not to corporations . . . someone who will tell the truth, address the real issues (e.g. election fraud, corporate control of Congress, etc.), and refuse all corporate contributions . . .

the changes that need to be made are fundamental in nature, i.e. challenging the corporatocracy, their constant wars, their control of our election process, and their rape of the environment (among other things) . . . and candidates who merely "seek a middle ground" are useless in this endeavor . . .
