dear friend, as one of my sources actually saw said smoke signals. Also, I have access to Ockham's Razor, which in this case, slices quite obviously towards smoke signals. 950 peer reviewed studies have concluded that the safest and least suspected form of communique is the signal derived from placing blankets over fire.
