... in the face of the overwhelming body of evidence that refutes the original story, I am truly perplexed as to the reasons why there remains a small but noisy claque that defiantly refuses to accept reality.

It's a mistake to try and characterize this as merely a difference of "opinion". At this late date, it's difficult not to question the rationality of those who still cling to the notion that Rove was indicted.

But I don't think it we need to see it. This would only be a temporary boost for the Pukes because if it wasn't they would end up looking worse than us. TO isn't know by the majority of Americans. Karl Rove probably is. It would destroy his credibility (this is working on the theory he HAS ANY :-) ) completely and the Republicans would stand a good chance of losing. So I don't think it is plausible for them to be faking the letter.

But after all that has happened, I didn't want to insult someone who has had their hopes crushed.
