Whom I'm sad to say, isn't going to SAVE us afterall, than the duped, used, dumb, or lying or right in another version of reality Leopold then I don't understand you. JUSTICE my ass. There is no justice in this country. None. None. How long do we wait? This country is a cesspool of lies and propaganda. And the lies and propaganda worry me four billion times worse than some damn blog-Truthout or some damn reporter most of America has never heard of. NOBODY gives a damn about them in the rest of America. But most know who Karl Rove is. And damn it I am not going to forgive Fitzgerald if he lets that ratfucker walk. Interesting who stirs your anger isn't it?

THIS was reported on my morning local FOX news. Everybody knows now. Rove innocent. Nothing to see here. Now, for the weather. Just another day in the great country of America. I have to go do the laundry.

1. Rove was not innocent. Rove was deeply involved.
Pass it on.

9. Exactly.
Let Fitzgerald complete his work. We can have a "bash" fitzgerald on DU day some other time. I will not, however, participate in that either.

3. I am wondering why the Times is reporting that Luskin received a letter

6. Gee
I am at a loss to understand why you're ascribing fault to a man charged with enforcing a difficult law in a difficult situation, simply because his results are not what you wanted.

Your condemnation of Patrick Fitzgerald is really quite astonishing. And, I might add, misplaced.

I hope you can channel your anger into something constructive. The Democrats can use that kind of energy.

7. I'm not sure it's Fitzgerald's fault
Edited on Tue Jun-13-06 10:48 AM by Asgaya Dihi
I haven't read any detail on this yet but from what I understand reading older stuff Bush claims to have had the right to declassify info and if that's the case and he did so then we're screwed. Yeah, it's unfair as hell but maybe not illegal. He prosecutes people for leaking what would embarrass him and declassifies and leaks himself what would damage his opponents. The only difference really is that he claims to have a right to, not that the info didn't start as classified.

It's low, wrong, and any number of other things, but it's possible that Fitzgerald didn't have a charge he could make stick. If it wasn't for the lie to the Grand Jury I'm not so sure we'd even have Libby.

8. The only ones who are going to buy that b.s. are...
the 31% of the idiots in this country who still support the Chimp. The other 69% knows that Rove lied, that Libby lied, that Cheney lied and that Bush lied.

The probem is, I don't think that the vast majority of them care anymore, it's old news to them.

10. Don't ignore the prospects of Fitz aiming a bit higher than Rove.
Edited on Tue Jun-13-06 10:50 AM by longship
Fitz may be playing the big game hunter here, letting the hyena go so he can snag the lion.

We know unequivocally that Deadeye Dick is up to his ass in this thing. Let's be patient and see what develops. Let's not jump to confusions here.

14. In my dream
It means Rove has cut a deal and fingered Cheney. But shouldn't Cheney be the obvious catch anyway? Who gave Libby permission? Everyone knows it was Cheney. But I fear they have too much power.

Rove should have been indicted in October. He's been stringing Fitzgerald along ever since. Rove lies and lies some more. I felt funny about it then, and I feel funny about it now. Rove slips away again. It's just the epitome of the nightmare years.

13. It's very simple
>JUSTICE my ass.<

Patrick Fitzgerald can't charge Karl Rove for being a shitstain on humanity. It's not in the legal code of our country. What he can (and is,) doing is putting the best case he can forward. We still have not seen "the letter". I'm thinking we may not see it, because Luskin is putting forth the PR spin.

Rove is not off the hook. Not by a long shot. I will not demonize Patrick Fitzgerald because he's simply doing his job. If they weren't charging Rove, he should be notified. The supposed letter reads "at this time," which leads me to believe that Rove's non-indictment is tied to his testimony on other matters.

The game isn't over yet.
