Now maybe The Liberals Who Hate America will shut up.
I just shook my head over all the negative posts here about our Commander in Chief. Today, President George W. Bush proved his heroism and his patriotism. The same courage he exhibited flying bombers during the Vietnam War is on display like a bright, shining star today. He`s in Baghdad, celebrating the democracy he single-handedly brought to Iraq.

Why didn`t Bush go earlier like Senator Kerry or Tony Blair? Well...in the run up to the invasion, Bush kept saying "at a time of our choosing." This proves he is in control and can decide what is going to happen and when. He chose today. Not because Democrats are about to announce their agenda, not because his poll numbers are sagging, but because today is the very best day. By tomorrow we can all help Mr. Gallup celebrate that rocketing uptick. It will be a great lead-in to our July 4th festivities. I`m going to hang my big flag.

Liberals say some terrible things about Our President. They seem to forget he has a chainsaw and almost beat Lance Armstrong once. Only brave people use chainsaws. The others use pens or drive to Border`s. That`s why the Governor of California had to teach us about "Girlie Men" so we`d learn to spot them and not waste our votes on them. President Bush isn`t in that category and he`ll prove it today when he walks alone in freedom down Main Street in Baghdad. If we see men with guns around him, those will be folks hired to hold back the cheering crowds. Lots of people over there want to get to our president. They have bouquets for him, just like some of the PNACers said.

There are times when events are so huge that we have to stop what we`re doing and applaud. This is one of those times. Our president is in Baghdad, representing our country to all the world. I`m hoping that he`ll make a speech about the good news: electricity back on, sewers up and running, pipes filled with cold, delicious water, air conditioners humming. Maybe he`ll be able to annpounce that all but one morgue is closed. I`m proud and filled with hope.

1. You really ought to include a big flag image in that post...
...or a huge eagle, or something.

8. You forgot to mention that he...
...also leg pressed 3000 pounds, beating that wimpy Pat Robertson fellow by a half a ton. I wonder if he will have the prop turkey with him this time.

Excellent post. I thought for a second, that we were witnessing the triumphant return of Bob Boudalang, but your spelling grammar, and punctuation were WAY too good. :hi:

9. Your president is a criminal.
I absolutely hate your president with every fiber of my being (and I've never hated anyone until the Bush regime seized power). I detest the mentality of people like yourself who blindly support him. Your Bush is a mass-murderer, torturer, lying, facist war criminal, subverter of The Constitution (you may want to read this wonderful document some time) who is guilty of high treason. And those are just the nice things about him.

I will never, ever understand how any decent human being with a soul could ever support Bush. Collectively, Bush supporters are the most evil souls on this planet and they've done more harm to this world than they will ever have to account for.

33. I used to think like you, liberalmuse.
But now....how do they say it?....I`ve come to the light.

Any man who can be born to poor circumstances and rise up to get his own baseball team and an oil company ALL ON HIS OWN deserves my deepest respect. This is the kind of stuff Our President is made of, the same fortitude that got him chosen for Secret Missions during the Vietnam War. That`s where the "awe" part of Shock and Awe came from. Mr. Rove caught a glimpse of that pulsating aura surrounding President Bush and the wonderment led him right to the word awe. It was magical. Even God knows about this. That`s why He chose President Bush to lead the invasion of Iraq and kill people who needed to be killed. You don`t send just anybody to kill for freedom. Some people are born to be Freedom Bringers, but some are Cut and Runners, like John Murtha. I`m hoping some day President Bush will sit down with Mr. Murtha and set him straight on wars. Ever hear of leveling the playing field? That`s what Our President is doing in Iraq. He`s leveling things so that when it`s all built back up it will be done right this time. He can decide things like that because he`s The Leader of the Free World. If a country doesn`t want to get bombed, they had better do the right thing. We don`t have time to fool around with so-called diplomacy. That`s what wussies do. All talk until there`s no time for action. That`s not good for business.

16. He had to sneak in and he's staying all of 5 hours
"He`s in Baghdad, celebrating the democracy he single-handedly brought to Iraq."

Single handedly? Weren't there some troops there?

How safe is Baghdad these days? Will the Prez be touring the city? Driving the streets in a convertible and waving at the adoring locals? He'd undoubtedly be showered in flowers.

18. Compared to Lincoln
who calmly and irrationally visited newly captured Richmond, in wartorn chaos, still unoccupied by federal troops, with a small guard under a green junior officer, and his small son riding with him. Of course the former slaves thronged around him(perilous enough) while the incredulous white population just looked on in peaceful shock. He probably had not a single thought about opinon polls or personal saftey.

The only thing Chimpy has in common with Lincoln is that their mutual detractors both compared them to simian forebears, although for Lincoln it had racist subtext.

Instead of a one sided rout... Which is why I can't understand their lack of
so-called support for Democrats.

I guess their payoffs are large enough from the RWers they don't feel the
need to take in money from both sides for campaigns.

Good point.
