When Nixon broke the law...did they just ask him to stop?
AS I recall, that bastard was forced to resign...what the hell is going on in this country?

How is it possible we go from one distraction to another, and overlook the VERY OBVIOUS FACT that Bush should be impeached immediately for illegally wiretapping! He broke the law. He has grossly violated the constitution, you know the one he swore to uphold.

The ACLU is taking Bush to court to get him stop. Conyers has the LISTEN act to get Bush to stop. Why doesn't Conyer's introduce a resolution over illegal wiretapping? Why did he introduce his resolutions right after the illegal wiretapping came to light but not include illegal wiretapping? Why can't he write any legislation to hold Bush accountable for the one thing we can get him on now?

Meanwhile they are making Bush's actions legal retroactively and Dems are not going to say anything? When, and if, the Dems ever get in power it will probably be too late and they'll just say 'oops nothing we can do'. This is unacceptable. People are dying everyday because of our politicians living in their bubble. They have houses still intact, they enjoy fine dining every day, their families are still alive and well, and they have the best health care and pensions...thanks to US the taxpayers!

I just can't take it anymore! Impeach the mother fucker already!!!!!!!!!1

1. Now, now
We didn't bring down Nixon in a day: it was a long, hard slog - and that was with a majority in Congress. All worthwhile goals require sweat & effort. Consider this quote when your spirits flag:
"There are no Failures in a Worthwhile Cause - only Delayed Successes." Isaac Asimov.

2. This is what they do
they stall until everyone forgets about it and then move on to the next distraction.

Now it is Iran and most of our Dems voted for the Iran Freedom Support Act to get the ball rolling for Bush and Aipac.

Pelosi isn't really interested in impeachment, Conyers seems to be stalling to me...what is going to change if we get Dems in there?

I often hear 'then we can investigate'

Impeachment hearings would involve investigating the charges, and an investigation is not really needed. Bush admitted to breaking the law.

I just read that Air America has trouble getting Dems on the shows. Why doesn't Conyers et al start trying to get their voices heard by going on Air America etc? I know, why don't they say something hateful like Ann Coulter and then they will make it all over the corporate media. I don't think they are trying hard enough. Don't they realize the danger that our democracy is in? Don't they care? It seems they care more about not angering Bush and Aipac and keeping their jobs.

I long for JFK's ideals 'ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country'

4. Forced to resign
Then we ended up with kill-the-brown-people-in-Central-America-because-they're-commies-Reagan, CIA George, Pretty-face-on-corporate-globalization-Bill, and now nucular George.

Who won again?

5. well of course
they have been getting away with murder on a mass scale but it seems that people have forgotten about Nixon and what happens when a president breaks the law. I figured we gotta start small.
