Another "unforeseen consequence" of Bush visit to Baghdad?
To kill a long-sought after enemy and then visit the place of his killing will not discourage the enemy - it will embolden them. This is the same as another "bring 'em on". However, with the plans to sweep thru Baghdad and to get rid of the "insurgents" once and for all, it will make the Iraqi insurgents even more desperate. I fear that this trip will expand the present "war" in Iraq outside its borders. When it happens, we can look back at this ill-advised and short-planned trip as the catalyst for what is about to happen in the surrounding neighbor countries of Iraq. This is a nice political ploy but militarily, not one of good judgement, in my opinion.

1. I think it is a nasty
political ploy. The King gloats, surveys his power, waves at the lowly people and struts off. Blechhhh. It is as much as standing with his foot on the necks of the dead in a heros stance. More macho BS from the chickenhawks. It will backfire.

3. If I understand the "Sweep through Baghdad" plan . . .
It will effectively be house-to-house massacres with a 10 to 1 body count of Iraqis to Coalition Forces.

You though Haditha was bad? You ain't seen nothin' yet.

4. Thats exactly what the Neocons want... perpetual war.
War is just too profittable not to pursue. Bush** is all too happy to do whatever he can to perpetuate war whilst giving lip service to diplomacy. Mix in the psycho-Christian Holy War Crusade "our God is mightier than your craven god" and you've got a recipe for decades and decades of strong quarterly profits.

7. Have you seen the video of Private Firms randomly shooting Iraquis???
Holy shit! I saw this today and almost puked up my pop tarts...Its video of 'private security' driving around Bagdhad and randomly machine-gunning cars. You see the cars that get hit swerve and crash.. its horrifying.

If this is any indication of what's been going on..we're all gonna burn in hell, and I don't even believe in hell.

Its over at crooks and liars-
